Sallent de Gallego is a small town in the province of Huesca in the Pyrenees in Spain that has about 1300 inhabitants. It holds the Formigal ski resort which is one of the best known in Spain. Sallent de Gallego is a municipality in which many rivers cross through, and also where the urbanization of Formigal is located. Lanuza is also a small urban area where you'll get to see various famous summer concerts in this area of the southern Pyrenees in northern Spain.
In Sallent you'll find a few monuments like the Gothic Church from the 16th century. It's patron Saint festivies of the Virgen de las Nieves (virgin of the snow) are celebrated each year in the month of August. |
